My Hospital Appointment – Visual Field Test

Photograph of Pontefract hospital
Just got back
from my field test.
It was the one which you hold a clicky button and press it when you see a light appear.
This was a first as the ones I’ve had before you just had to say how many, but it was a different hospital this time.
You pop your face in the machine and have to stare at the central dot without blinking for 10 seconds. Then the lights appear and you press the clicker when you see them.
She popped a lens, like a opticians lens in front of my right eye to help with seeing the dots as that eye isn’t as awesome as my left ☺… poor thing.

It was like a retro arcade game. Although one you play and find out if you had won a few months later.

Asked about my eye pain from the Autofluorescence test. My right eye is still in pain. Nurse said she had never heard of it hurting anyones eyes.
Well it has. All around the outside is in pain and it’s sometimes like a very minor electric pulse at times.
Can’t cope with bright light at all nowadays. To be honest, doesn’t have to be really light outside. This is the most bothersome problem for me at the moment.
Won’t know the results until I get an appointment and see the consultant.
Just waiting on one to see him and an ERG appointment now.
