Wavy distorted lines macular dystrophy

In other news… Something new over the past few weeks has been happening which makes me totally not trust my eyes.
I only remembered today as I mentioned it to the consultant.
And it’s this complete weirdness.
Apparently, it’s what normally happens.
It’s disturbing and frustrating at the same time as I don’t know if the writing is actually supposed to be slanted or not. I’m supposing it isn’t.
I stare at the screen and move it around, convinced it’s not me and it’s my phone.
I don’t like it.
I think it’s just me not believing it’s my eyesight. I literally cannot believe my eyes.
I’ve made this graphic to show you, but even making it, I’m not sure it’s slanted enough because it already looked slanted before I messed with it 😕

Having my appointment with the eye centre today

Graphic depiction of the eye test screen with them words I cant see it written on white background
I will update this post when I have seen the eye specialist today.

I’m nervous but hopeful that the results of the tests I’ve been having won’t show anything I’m not expecting.

Still haven’t got my appointment yet for the ERG I’m supposed to be having but maybe they have enough information.

Stress and sight loss

Prolonged stress deteriorated my eyesight faster than normal. Also, when first diagnosed I was eating vitamin A enriched food thinking they would help… WRONG… It’s the opposite.
In some situations you have to be a few steps ahead, or you can be slower doing things that take concentration than people with better eyesight.
I agree with all the points made here. Couldn’t have explained it better myself ☺

To see a very good explanation please watch…
