Alt (Alternative Text)

Alt text (alternative text) is a word or phrase that can be inserted as an attribute in an HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) document to tell Web site viewers the nature or contents of an image on their screen.

Alt text is a description of the image.
The alt attribute is used by a ‘screen reader’ software so that a person who is listening to the content of a webpage (for instance, a person who is visually impaired or blind) can interact with this element.

The person can build up an image from the alternative text within the image. Read out by their screen reader.

I have now put alt text into the images on my posts on this website. As well as descriptive links.

2 unexpected appointments

So, whilst I was ill, I received 2 appointment letters. Both for the Eye Centre Hospital again. Near to where I live.

I haven’t had my results back yet from my other 3 tests that I had some time ago. This is what I’m waiting for to see the consultant again.

These tests where.

⚫ ERG

⚫ Autofloressence

⚫ Field test

It can’t be helped, as we have had a pandemic shortly afterwards.

These appointments are for a Glaucoma Field Test and the Optics Clinic. This test hasn’t even been mentioned to me so far.

I don’t know what the Optics clinic are seeing me for. Or if that’s a test there or maybe even seeing the consultant.

These were for the 13th and 16th of November 2020.

I cancelled these due to me being ill and not being able to go.

I have now popped an update page on my site. You can find it in (Menu) at the very top of the page, or, if you can find the it by clicking the picture below.
