Eye test appointment

Well, Boots opticians have sent me a letter saying that my eye test is now due.

I’m quite excited to get new glasses, because it always feels like my eyeballs have had a wash ☺

It was 2 years ago since my last test for reading glasses.

I posted a few weeks back to say I needed them testing again, as I can tell these aren’t as effective nowadays as they once were, due to the fact that a few times I’ve been puzzled why I can’t read, wonder where my glasses are, when they’re actually on my face.
The local branch is now open again. With all the safety measures in place.
⚪ Come on your own if possible.
⚪ A limited amount of slots per day.
⚪ Social distancing inside and outside the shop.
⚪ Wear a mask.
⚪ By appointment only no walk-ins.
I’ve also screenshot some styles that I like so I’m not hanging around in there more than I have to. Not necessarily for me but for the staff there. They have to meet umpteen people a week, so safer for them if I\’m not daudling picking everything up.
They will be tortoiseshell. #standard… (don’t panic… fake I might add) As they always are and have been since I started wearing glasses ☺
So that’s what I intend to do this week is book an appointment.
It will be interesting to see what my visual acuity is now.
I know with the condition I have, at the opticians they cannot pick up the blind spots whilst testing so the reading isn’t as exact as when I’ve had all my tests done at the hospital.
Which I’m still waiting for the upshot of all that by the way… #cliffhanger.
